These 12 women who have “stuck a leg out for the cause” are directly or indirectly impacted by cancer. Each girl has a story that resonates with so many young adults in our country. Our calendar girl and beautiful angel, Chelsea lost her battle to breast cancer a few months after this shoot and we are honored that she was willing to be a part of this project. Allie, our December Calendar girl, completed treatment for breast cancer just a few months before our two day photo shoot at the Monticello Motor Club. Both women felt empowered by this photo shoot. All of the other models have seen loved ones and family members battle this terrible disease and expressed deeply that they often feel helpless and want to do as much as they can to help.
Everyone involved with this project donates their skills and time. We are honored to have the critically acclaimed, Michael Bloom as Photographer, the DEDICATED and tireless, Amy Goodstein as Producer, the extremely talented, Mai Fung as Graphic Designer and the wonderful keen eye of Jaed Altman as Director.
A tremendous THANK YOU to the Monticello Motor Club and staff. Your outstanding property and amenities are second to none as well as your generosity to the Allyson Whitney Foundation.
Models do eat, so thank you to the Monticello Bagel Bakery and Miss Monticello Diner for helping to feed all of us! And what would models be without a GLAM SQUAD – thank you to Suzanne White and Ruby Gold for hair and Ms. Picasso herself, Empress Heyward for donating her excellent make-up skills.
